Structural differences :
● The main shaft of the vertical
Machining Center is vertical, the structure is mostly fixed column, the table is rectangular, there is no index rotation function, generally has three linear motion coordinate axes, and can be installed on the work table along the horizontal axis rotation .
● The main axis of the horizontal machining center is horizontal, usually with an automatic indexing rotary table, generally with 3 to 5 motion coordinates, the common is three linear motion coordinates plus a rotary motion coordinate .
Workbench differences :
● The table of the vertical machining center is a T-slot table of the cross slide table structure, and there are two sets of motion mechanisms responsible for moving in the vertical direction of each other (X and Y).
● The table of the horizontal machining center is only designed to move in the X or Y direction, the form is generally a rotary table of the lattice screw hole table, and it is relatively easy to install the exchange double table .
Processing capacity and applicable scenarios :
● Vertical machining center is mainly suitable for processing plate, plate, mold and small shell complex parts, easy to install card, easy to operate, easy to observe the processing .
● The horizontal machining center is most suitable for processing box parts. After the workpiece is loaded once, the processing of the remaining four surfaces except the mounting surface and the top surface can be completed.
